The Library of Central Sanskrit University, Lucknow Campus (Formerly Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Lucknow Campus) was established on 2nd August 1986. It started functioning in a hall available in the rented Vidyapeetha building in Aliganj, Lucknow. Later on in 1994 the library was shifted alongwith the Vidyapeetha to another rented building in Gomtinagar, opposite to the 10 acres own plot of the institution. Further when institutional building was constructed in 2002, two big rooms were provided for the library. Though it was at that time but with the growth of the library space constraint is being experienced. So a separate block for the library is proposed for construction. With a unique collection of about 28,078 books, apart from Journals, Periodicals, Newspapers and Theses. Lucknow Campus Library is trying its best to serve and fulfill the requirements of its readers.
