About - Mahamahopadhyay Pandit Madhusudan Ojha Central Library

The library is an integral part of the academic setup of the campus, the major aim of which is to acquire, collect and organize books and other allied reading materials for use by the students and faculty members and thus to support the teaching-learning programme of the campus. The Jaipur Campus Library System comprises of awell-stocked central library and 10 departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching, research and extension programmes of the Jaipur campus. The library is open to all the students, faculty members and non-teaching staff of the Jaipur campus. The library caters the needs of more than around 1200 students at Awareness courses, Certificate, Diploma, PG-Diplomas, Prak-Shashtri, under-graduate, post-graduate and research level. There is a well-equipped reading hall, to enable users to skim through newspapers, weeklies and magazines. There is a collection of more than 35000 resource materials which include textbooks, reference books, Dissertation, thesis and volumes of journals indifferent fields. The library is duplex in structure and located on the first and second hall of the Jaipur campus building. The library is fully automated and uses the software ‘E-Granthalay 4.0’. E-Granthalay is an Digital Platform developed by National Informatics Centre, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India for Government Libraries for govt. Libraries for Automation of In-house actives as well as member services and networking for resource sharing. E-Granthalay 4.0 supports all library housekeeping activities such as acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serial control, patron Management, and OPAC. It is a resource planning system for a library, used to track items owned, orders made, bills paid, and individuals who have borrowed.
